GRIZI
Biography
Paola Grizi is an artist who is best known for her contemporary artwork.
She won the 3rd Biannual International Ceramic Contest of Ascoli Piceno and in 2014 and 2015 she was invited by the Chinese Chanchun Municipality to represent Italy in the third and fourth China Changchun International Ceramics Symposiums. She also won the Special Public Award at the 35th CICA International Competition de L’Alcora in Spain and then went on to serve on the jury of the same contest in 2016. Additionally she was chosen by the Pontifical Gregorian University in collaboration with the Kunst-Station of Köln in Germany for a Contemporary art project in the Church of Saint Peter, along with eleven other international artists.
Paola first became interested in art while she was still a child, mentored by her grandfather, who was a famous Italian painter and sculptor. She studied Classics in high school and earned her degree in Italian Literature with first-class honors. After that, she embarked on a career in journalism and editing, at the same time spending time on her art, working heavily with clay.
Particularly well-known around Italy, she has been featured at exhibits in Rome, Faenza, Venice, Florence, Milan, Pisa and Ferrara, among other cities. She is respected as a sculptor and highly sought-after when it comes to projects both professional and personal.
