COCKTAIL PARTY IN THE PRESENCE OF THE ARTISTS

PEPPONE

Located in the Luberon region of Provence, Peppone's workshop, also known as Christophe Tixier, is a true treasure trove of reclaimed pieces. The artist utilizes an abundance of comic books paper to create brightly colored and variegated resin forms imbued with popular symbolism that evoke the innocence of childhood and his native territory. It is by carving into this abundance of paper that Peppone breathes life into his works.

AUGUSTE

Auguste terms his oeuvre “Generations” as his works revolve around a central theme of pop culture icons from the past. Conjuring memories of previous eras, his pieces depict celebrities, super heroes, and other iconic figures in conjunction with American and French marks to provide the viewer with a reminiscent glimpse of past epochs.

PRESENTING WORKS BY

Logo Logo

LEO MANELLI

Leo Manelli intrigues as much as he fascinates. As an extraordinary artist, he is known for his ability to merge classical painting with anachronistic elements drawn from art and luxury, creating a unique blend of eras and cultures. A talented realistic painter, he meticulously reproduces masterpieces, often sourced from prestigious museum collections. However, his creative process remains a mystery to those around him. Leo Manelli appropriates these works to bridge the centuries and  and breathe life into artworks of timeless beauty.

PAUL SIBUET

Paul Sibuet is a French sculptor who creates colorful contemporary works based on the principle of optical illusion : he is famous for its aluminium and resin paint can sculptures. Soon, he breaks free from the techniques taught by exploring his own perceptions of the object and volumes, thus creating his signature. Sibuet structures forms, colors and materials. He freezes the movement in abundant lines. In his "installations", first monochrome then multicolor and representational productions, the artist plays with physical constraints to bring spaces to life.

PATRICK RUBINSTEIN

Born in Paris in the 1960s, Patrick Rubinstein was influenced by the British rock spirit and American pop culture of his childhood. Combining the principle of the Dooble, which consists of merging two images designed to blend into one, applied to an accordion-like support, and the Triple, which creates a variation in perception through movement by means of lateral views created by slats perpendicular to the central image, he gives the works a lively and perpetually renewed aspect.

CHLOE B.

The young but well-established artist Chloé B. is full of creative ideas. She continues the work of her elders, re-inventing the great artistic movements of the 20th century, by adding her own touch, which is both original and irresistible. Thus, her mosaic collages of mini photos inspired by the post-pointillists and optical art masters, or her collages of iconic “mainstream” brand logos and cartoon characters, taking up all the codes of childhood and pop culture. Each artwork becomes a bas-relief wall sculpture in cut metal, with a 7 layers 3D effect : each brand logo, character or onomatopoeia is then sublimated.
